(Funny...my latest Team Camwell blog entry is "Mall rats".)
I was just asked to play Quiet City and some other works in a volunteer orchestra made up of Cedar Rapids Symphony members. I would do this in a heartbeat, even without being paid, especially since it's essentially a political concert for Barack Obama right before the Iowa caucuses. The fact that I haven't played for over a month? Tricky. Reed situation? Stress level? Having to stay overnight...two weeks from now? While my in-laws are in town? When we're planning on having an open house for people to come meet the baby on the same day as the concert? The fact that I have a baby to consider in all this?...it all points to a sad no. :(

Aw, sorry about that, Jillian.
I doubt this is helpful, but I now look back and think of all the jobs I wish I'd NOT taken, knowing how quickly babies grow up and leave home and all that jazz.
Hang in there!
Uhhh I totally know how you're feeling. I can't count the number of times I've had to make those decisions... and it doesn't get any easier :( however, there are always rewards on both sides...
