We had thunder, lightning, freezing rain and hail this morning, and we're in the middle of a blizzard right now. Dave is still at school, in a rehearsal, which I'm surprised he didn't cancel. All schools let the kids out at 11:00am today, and even most businesses in Des Moines closed early to send their employees home before the storm hit. I had two students cancel (driving here), but my two neighbour kids still came on time. I walked them back home, passing them off to parents part-way. They might have blown away if they were alone. It's so windy! Between students I shoveled a path from my door to little girl's driveway. The path is completely covered now.
Phew--Dave's home now.
